Riftbound: Spiritforged Expansion Announced – 221 New Cards, 12 New Legends Arrive in 2026

Riot Games has officially revealed Spiritforged

Riftbound Spiritforged - The next season in the TCG

It’s the first full expansion for its champion-driven tactical TCG Riftbound. The new set brings a massive wave of content: 221 brand-new cards, 12 new Legends, and several fresh mechanics designed to deepen deckbuilding and push the battlefield system into new territory.

Spiritforged introduces Gold, Equip, and a new class of cards tagged as Overnumbered, adding around 40 cards with unique construction rules. These additions aim to shake up existing archetypes and give players new tools, especially those focused on resource acceleration and gear-heavy strategies.

While the set launches in December 2025 in China, the English release is scheduled for February 2026, marking the official start of Riftbound’s long-term set rotation cycle. Riot has described Spiritforged as the “first major expansion” following the Origins launch, signaling a steady pipeline of new content and competitive support going forward.

For Riftbound players – especially those mastering Viktor, Jinx, and other Origins legends – Spiritforged looks like the game’s first real meta shift. More Champions, more synergies, and new mechanics mean new strategies to explore across Riftbound’s tactical battlefields.

More previews are expected over the coming months.
