Resident Evil Requiem Reveals Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy Amiibo

During the Resident Evil Requiem Showcase last month, Capcom announced that Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy would both receive amiibo. Now, during today’s Nintendo Direct, we got our first look at them.

These figures for Grace and Leon mark the first time Resident Evil has announced amiibo. That said, they won’t arrive the same time as Requiem. Requiem will come out on the 27th, which coincides with the release of a branded Switch 2 Pro Controller. The amiibo will arrive later, debuting during the summer.

And what will these amiibo do for you? Scanning them in will grant unique weapon skins for use in-game. While we don’t know what Grace’s weapon skin will look like, Leon’s grants a neon blue-and-red coat to his revolver. It’s quite bright and showy, but then again, Leon’s sections are the most exuberant. When we last went hands-on with Requiem, we found his sections to be gloriously over-the-top.

As such, it’ll be interesting to see if the amiibo for Grace Ashcroft grants her weapon something more… subdued. Grace’s sections are pure survival horror, as the easily-frightened analyst contends with too many zombies and not enough resources.

The Nintendo Direct also provided a look at the gameplay of Resident Evil Requiem. We’ve seen some of this gameplay before, with most of it taking place in the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center. However, the gameplay does show a sneak peak of Leon sniping zombies from outside, hinting at larger (but not open-world!) Raccoon City areas.

And if you’re looking for a Resident Evil marathon, the Nintendo Direct shared that Resident Evil 7 and Village will both arrive for Switch 2 on the 27th. These consist of the Gold Editions for both games, which include all DLC.

As for the new title, Resident Evil Requiem comes out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27th, 2026.
