Pragmata gets a April 2026 release date and heads to the Nintendo Switch 2

During The Game Awards 2025, Capcom shocked us a bit early. It revealed the release date for Pragmata as April 26, 2026, just a few months from now. Not only that, it also announced that Pragmata will head to the Nintendo Switch 2. This wasn’t originally revealed, despite asking Capcom about this prior. Previously, Capcom had announced Pragmata as coming for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

And to add to the surprise, a playable demo of Pragmata is now available to play on PC (Steam). It will arrive for consoles on a later date.

The demo, entitled Sketchbook, lets you try out the unique combat system of the game. Pragmata is an action-adventure shooter, but also incorporates hacking into combat. The demo also gives a peak at the lunar research station, the main location of the game.

We also had a chance to go hands on with a Pragmata preview during the 2025 Summer Game Fest, which you can check out here.

In this new IP, protagonists Hugh and Diana traverse a sci-fi world of the future. Hugh is a human, and Diana an android. But despite their differences, they work together to traverse a hostile lunar research station.

Players can preorder Pragmata to receive the Neo Bushido outfit for Hugh and the Neo Kunoichi outfit for Diana. Both costumes take inspiration from Japan’s Sengoku Period of the 15th and 16th centuries. If you’re not ready to commit to a preorder, Capcom notes that these costumes may become available at a later date.

Pragmata also offers a deluxe edition. This bundle includes the main game and the Shelter Variety Pack with more outfits for Hugh and Diana as well as gestures, weapon skins, and digital artwork.

Pragmata will retail for $59.99 while the deluxe edition will retail for $69.99. Pragmata will arrive on April 26, 2026. The game will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and as we’ve now learned, Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
