For eager Pragmata players on console, your day has come. Starting today, you may download and play the Pragmata Sketchbook demo. Capcom revealed the news of the demo during this morning’s Nintendo Direct. Prior to this, the demo was only available for PC. But now, you may access it through the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store. The Sketchbook demo introduces you to protagonists Hugh and Diana and their lunar adventure. It’s also surprisingly replayable.
In the demo, players take on the role of Hugh, a spacefarer, and Diana, a tiny android. Hugh can shoot robotic enemies while Diana can hack them to assist Hugh in combat. In playing the demo, players use a mix of shooting and hacking to get through both the enemies and the floors of the space station.

The demo takes approximately 25 minutes to clear. However, that’s hardly the end of it. Upon replaying the demo, players can access new weapons and hacking nodes. The demo even has multiple endings, which appear as sketches that Diana draws at the end of each run (hence the “Sketchbook demo”). The conditions to unlock each ending vary from speedrunning the demo to only using hacks to complete it.
We previously went hands-on with Pragmata at Summer Games Fest and checked out the Sketchbook demo as well. While the unique gameplay may not be to everyone’s tastes, we greatly enjoyed our time with it. The hacking mini-games proved a particular highlight, as their puzzles encourage players to think strategically.
Pragmata arrives on April 24th, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. In the meantime, you can check out the demo on all of these systems.
