Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How To Get Scraggy and Can It Evolve?

By Faith LaneFebruary 3, 2024

Scraggy is a Dark and Fighting-type Pokemon that was just recently added to the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, which brought back many starter Pokemon from the older gens of the game. With there being so many new Pokemon to collect, some of you might just wanna go ahead and catch your favorite before adventuring out elsewhere. Here is where you can find the loveable lizard-wearing pants-looking Pokemon.

How To Get Scraggy

Scraggy is adorable, especially with such cute little teeth. While I could go on and on about how lovable the Pokemon is, let’s talk about where we can get it from. Scraggy can only be found in one biome, which is the Canyon Biome in the new Pokemon DLC location.

Does Scraggy Evolve In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Yes, Scraggy can be evolved, and it will evolve into a Pokemon called Scrafty, which looks similar to Scraggy but has some slight differences to make it look a bit stronger. In order to evolve it, players will need to get the Pokemon’s experience level all the way up to level 39, which they will find a lot easier than expected.

The fastest way to get a Pokemon to evolve is by having it as an active member of your battling party or participating in battles with Scraggy as your main fighter. This will allow it to have time to earn experience quickly for it to evolve. An easier way to get the job done is also to feed it Experience Candy, which comes in different sizes to help max out your Pokemon even quicker. You can earn experience candy by participating in different Tera Raids around Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. A handful will be earned with each won raid and can help evolve many Pokemon if enough are completed. That is everything to know about evolving Scraggy.
