Street Fighter VI’s Alex will be available for everyone as of March 17, 2026. Luckily, his character guide has already been released. The grappler’s moveset has some new tools for him to use. The character’s movement model is based of wrestler Kenny Omega, who has been pretty excited to bring Alex to life. He even has a move named after Omega.
The maintainance for the game will take place tonight at 8PM PDT and will last four hours. The standard fair for the updates that are put in place.

As for the newfound heel, he’s got a new stance called Prowler that can close the distance and get in some low hits. It’s got a dash that feels as though it might rival the Drive Rush without having to burn the meter inorder to do so.
It’s quick and be cancelled into fast. His Raging Spear super has an invisible start, which can go through moves. Sledgecross Hammer can avoid projectiles, too. New Generation homage be darned.
Legacy of Kaiser has a bit of a preview against the Level 7 CPU of Alex. Knowing how brutal it can be, perhaps there’s something to attain from the first matches. This are mostly against Sagat, whose shared Street Fighter V with the wrestler.
Street Fighter VI Year 3 At A Glance
Alex will join C. Viper and Sagat for Year 3. The enigma in Ingrid will also come soon to the fight in her 2nd game since Alpha 3.
Street Fighter VI is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC (via Steam), and Nintendo Switch 2.
