Gameplay Group’s Avatar Legends brings out more gameplay footage today from the likes of Zuko, Korra, and Ang. The Nickelodeon franchise will soon be getting its own fighting game. The fluidity of the sprites feels like they have taken a page out of the Arc System Works script.
There seems to be some sort of super jumps here. A dodging mechanic can be seen in the fights that avoid moves. Korra does this during her fight with Ang. Safety Rolls are a thing, too. Korra releases an Ultimate move near the end. No real gauges or actual fight UI can be seen here. Each avatar’s beast is present during their fights to cheer their masters on, possibly.
Fighting Game Legend Justin Wong brought in some of his excitement for the official social media channels. Justin has also been crowned the Community Representative for the game and announced that there will be a Closed Beta test. Ang, Zuko, Korra, and Katara will be the stars of this test from the looks of it. Appa and Naga seem to be in the trailer, but not yet sporting the assist moves.
