Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution Available On Steam – Best Way To Play Handheld

Today is the day when Neptunia fans get to rejoice, the long-awaited recently released entry of Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is now available on Steam! Idea Factory International has released the game globally on Steam. It was already playable on PC via Microsoft’s Store Play Anywhere release for Xbox, but now it can be played natively on Steam Deck!

I’ve been playing the game for a few days now on Steam Deck via this Steam release, and honestly, it is the way to play if you have it on handheld! It doesn’t lock to 60 FPS, but it remains consistently in the 50-60 FPS range during gameplay. Combat runs smoothly, and using the bike is much better on the Steam Deck than via the Nintendo Switch’s release of the game! Or heck, even on PlayStation 5’s release, which capped the game to 30 FPS. With all the versions of the game now released, Steam is the definitive way to go, or if you are looking for it on console, choose Xbox, since that version has 60 FPS.

If you want to see my thoughts on the full game, you can look at the review on the site. I am just so happy to finally see this game come to Steam so it can now be in the Neptunia library!

Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is available to purchase on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Steam version is at a respectable $29.99 as the base price, too!
