MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has been having a pretty strong run since launch, and now PlaySide Studios and Fumi Games are celebrating that success with a new accolades trailer highlighting the praise the game has received from critics and players.
Definitely check it out.
Following its release earlier this month, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has picked up plenty of positive attention, currently sitting at an 81 on both Metacritic and OpenCritic. That is a solid win for the stylish first-person shooter, especially with various gaming outlets praising its charm, animation, and old-school cartoon-inspired presentation.
The game has also been doing well with players. According to the latest numbers shared by PlaySide Studios and Fumi Games, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has earned a 95% overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam, an 8.3 user score on Metacritic, 4.88 out of 5 stars on PlayStation, and 4.8 out of 5 stars on Xbox. That kind of response is hard to ignore, especially for a game with such a distinct visual identity.
That reception has also helped the game climb the sales charts, with MOUSE: P.I. For Hire reportedly reaching #2 on the Steam global sales charts and #2 on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop charts. That is a huge moment for Fumi Games, and it is great to see a game with this much personality finding an audience.
And if you check out the accolades trailer, you might even see The Outerhaven make the cut. We really enjoyed our time with MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, even with a few frustrating points along the way. As noted in our review, the animation, visual style, and gameplay stood out in a big way, making it one of those games that immediately grabs your attention and refuses to let go.
It is also good to see that the developers are still hard at work, supporting the game with hotfixes and patches based on player feedback, which should help smooth out some of the rougher edges players may have encountered.
Kudos to Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios on the strong reception. We had a good time with MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, and we are definitely interested to see what the developer does next.
