Mega Man is a key part of gaming history. He was there during the NES era, he had the X-era over on PlayStation, then there was Legends, Battle Network, Starforce, and many crossovers in between, including doing things like comics! He’s a legend, and fans want this legend to come back to the prominence he was originally known for. However, Capcom, for whatever reason, isn’t releasing new titles with him. In fact, his last game was in 2018! That doesn’t count the Battle Network Collections, for the record. Naturally, some fans are fed up with this and have gone straight to the top for answers.
During a shareholder Q&A, as noted by Insider Stealth, among others, Capcom was straight-up asked about Mega Man’s future. The answer was…well…
Capcom was asked about the future of Mega Man during their shareholder Q & A:"The Mega Man series is one of our most important IPs, and we are continuously considering ways to develop it further. However, we do not have any additional information we can share at this time."

Yeah, that’s not the best. Oh, but it gets “better,” because the team admitted that they’ve heard the fan requests for him to keep going in the games:
“While we do not disclose individual sales figures by IP, we receive a particularly high volume of inquiries about the Mega Man series from overseas markets. We will continue to focus on expanding this business further.”
So, yeah, sorry everyone, it appears that Capcom isn’t willing to divulge if the “Blue Bomber” is coming back in a meaningful way anytime soon.
