Say what you will about Nintendo, but they do have a sense of “timing” when they want to. For example, next week is Halloween, and on the day before the beloved holiday, a very special game will come to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack: Luigi’s Mansion! That’s right, the OG title from the GameCube era that finally gave Luigi a true starring role will finally be playable on the Switch/Switch 2. What this also means is that the whole series will be available to play on the two platforms. So, if you wanted, you could do a special binge to see how the series has evolved!

Speaking of the franchise, the series has crossed a big milestone recently, as combined with the new entries and the remaster of the second game, the series has sold over 26 million units:
The Luigi’s Mansion series has sold over 26 million copies.

This matters because Luigi’s Mansion 3 made up a big chunk of those sales. As such, it’s fair to feel that the Nintendo Switch 2 will get the fourth entry in the saga soon enough.
