Lies of P has sold 1 million copies in less than a month

Lies of P, one of my favorite Soulslikes of 2023, has sold one million copies since it was released last month on September 19, 2023, according to its developer, Neowiz.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the citizens of Krat.
Thank you to everyone who helped us and accompanied us and we hope you join in our future journeys as well.#LiesofP pic.twitter.com/BpGUr0rkDn

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the citizens of Krat. Thank you to everyone who helped and accompanied us, and we hope you join in our future journeys as well.” the official Lies of P Twitter/X account tweeted. When you think about it, those numbers are impressive, given that the game also launched on Xbox Game Pass. On top of Game Pass, having one million copies sold speaks volumes.

Lies of P was already on the minds of Soulslike players ever since the demo dropped, and not only featured fantastic performance but was pretty much on par with Fromsoftware’s works. That was propelled once the full game was released, and anyone who enjoyed the genre simply couldn’t stop talking about it. All this from a developer who has never worked on a Soulslike game yet managed to nail it on its first attempt.

But you already knew how good the game was, as I couldn’t stop talking about it. I stated in our Lies of P review, “I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s easily one of the best Soulslike games I’ve played that didn’t come from Fromsoftware, and that’s saying something.”

Now, if we could only get some details on what’s in store for Lies of P in terms of a DLC story or maybe even an upcoming sequel. That ending scene has us all in suspense and waiting for more. Obviously, if you haven’t beaten the game yet, me telling you about it would spoil the game, so I won’t.
