DMM today revealed the official Key Visual No. 2 and Trailer No.2 for the upcoming anime KILL BLUE, offering the most dynamic look yet at the series ahead of its April premiere. The new key visual places protagonist Jūzō Ōgami front and center, holding a textbook in one hand and a gun in the other, capturing the duality between his newfound student life and past as a legendary assassin.
Surrounded by classmates, rivals, and elite fighters, the image showcases the central premise of the series, that a seemingly normal school is constantly on the verge of chaos.
The trailer, set to the opening theme “ATTITUDE” by aespa, follows Jūzō Ōgami, a 39-year-old assassin feared across the underworld, who is suddenly transformed into a 13-year-old boy after a mysterious wasp sting during a mission. Before he can process what’s happened, he’s ordered to go undercover at a middle school, and though reluctant at first, Jūzō is gradually drawn into student life, discovering moments of genuine enjoyment in learning. The first half of the trailer closes with his partner Kotatsu Nekota (voiced by Shuichiro Umeda) remaining unfazed by Jūzō’s thoughts, while Chisato Shiraishi (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki), head of the home economics club, tries to recruit him.
The second half of the trailer, set to the ending theme “KILL SHOT” by RIIZE, introduces a wider cast of allies and adversaries. It opens with Noren Mitsuoka, the daughter of a major corporation, confessing about her new boyfriend before ramping up the tension and showing that middle school may be even more dangerous than the underworld Jūzō left behind. Among the threats are:
- Tenma Tendo (voiced by Takeo Otsuka), known as the “super middle schooler” due to their dominating physical ability
- Kazuma Rindu (voiced by Shoya Chiba), a member of the powerful assassin group JARDIN with hypnotic abilities
- Eiji Rindu (voiced by Yoshiki Nakajima), who weaponizes golf with lethal precision
- Shin Kohazame (voiced by Daisuke Sakuma), an operative from the Chinese assassin organization Yugang, who infiltrates the same school and quickly emerges as a formidable rival
