There were many questions about the Nintendo Switch 2 before its full reveal in April that have been answered for the most part. One of the key ones wasn’t just about the software that’d be on it at launch and beyond, but the improvements that the system got from the OG Switch. A new listing on Twitter revealed some interesting details about the Switch 2’s launch titles and beyond, including how much data it would consume when digitally downloaded.
As you can see below, Cyberpunk 2077 tops the charts, while Nintendo’s titles never go above 25GB. What’s key to note about this, though, is that one of the big improvements for the Nintendo Switch 2 was that it would have 256GB of internal storage. So, if you add up all the games download data (which we did), it’s LESS than that. So you could download all these games without having to remove a single one. That’s a huge upgrade over what the OG Switch could do.
Nintendo Switch 2 game download sizes
Cyberpunk 2077 – 59.8 GB
Yakuza 0 – 53.7 GB
Mario Kart World – 23.4 GB
Bravely Default – 11 GB*
Donkey Kong Banaza – 10 GB*
Zelda BOTW – 24.2 GB
Zelda TOTK – 19.9 GB
Kirby and the Forgotten Land – 13 GB
Super Mario Party Jamboree – 13 GB pic.twitter.com/aPF46tN3qd— Nintendeal (@Nintendeal) April 27, 2025
Obviously, this isn’t all the games coming to the Switch 2 in its launch period, but it’s a good cross-section of what you can expect and plan for once the console releases on June 5th.
