After being leaked early by developer Playground Games via a pop-up in Forza Horizon 5, it’s now official! Forza Horizon 6 releases on May 19th, 2026, with 4 days of early access starting on May 15th, 2026, for those who purchase the premium edition.
Just remember that if you have Gamepass Ultimate, Forza Horizon 6 will be available at no additional cost from May 19th, 2026, but you can also purchase the premium upgrade DLC pack to get the game 4 days early, like those who purchase the full-fledged premium edition.
I must say that Forza Horizon 6 looks like everything I wanted from a Forza game in Japan. With new ways to race, earn cars and have fun. Speaking of cars, Forza Horizon 6 will launch with more than 550 cars on day one, which is more cars than we’ve ever seen on day one in a Forza game.
In a major announcement, all the accessibility features from previous games will be brought forward into Forza Horizon 6, but that’s not all! The team is also adding a brand-new, highly customizable High Contrast mode.
I could sit here all day talking about Forza Horizon 6, but I suggest that you watch the full Xbox Developer_Direct for yourself since the above teaser trailer doesn’t do the game justice. There are lots of additional details, including new open-world activities, a player-built estate and more.
Playground Games promised more details ahead of Forza Horizon 6‘s launch in May, and I can promise you we will be on top of anything you need to know. For now, you can already pre-order the game ahead of its Xbox and PC release. Don’t worry, PlayStation players, Forza Horizon 6 is coming to PS5 and should be available later this year, according to what they said in today’s Xbox Developer_Direct.
