Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment Trailer Highlights The Plight Of The “King Of Light”

To serve Rauru...The King of Light!

Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment

The Nintendo Switch 2 is rolling in more ways than one right now, and its momentum is likely to keep building. For example, we just found out last night that Pokémon Legends Z-A has sold 5.8 million units in just its first week on the Switch/Switch 2, and the Nintendo Direct for Kirby Air Riders paints a picture of another incredible title coming to the console next month. But before that game arrives, Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment will have its time in the spotlight, and today, a new trailer highlighted even more of the game’s story.

What makes this trailer special isn’t just the focus on in-game cutscenes and the “synch” moves, but the attention it gives to King Rauru, the leader of Hyrule. It’s he who must lead the charge alongside Zelda, Sonia, and the other Sages to try and face Ganondorf. While we know his fate in Tears of the Kingdom, it’s clear that his struggle will be far more pronounced here.

As for Princess Zelda, we see her “synching up” with everyone in the trailer, and get even more glimpses of how these combo moves will work with the other characters.

You can check out the full trailer below, and be ready for Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment when it arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 6th!

UPDATE: We also got some new looks and info on two of the brand-new characters that’ll be in the game:

Nintendo shared key art for two more playable characters in Hyrule Age of Imprisonment:"Meet the Mysterious Construct who can transform and take to the skies.""Meet Calamo, a boisterous Korok roaming Hyrule in search of a place to put down roots."
