How To Watch Google’s “Made by Google” Event Today

By Keith MitchellOctober 9, 2018

Looking forward to Google’s “Made by Google” event that will be taking place today? Just not sure how or where to watch it? Not to worry, as we got all the info you need and perhaps a bit more.

The event will start today at 8 AM PDT / 11 PM EDT. You can watch the show here, or head on over to Google’s YouTube page.

What can you expect?

Well, for starters, we’ll finally see an official reveal of Google’s Pixel 3. The latest smartphone that’s been heavily leaked and even left in a cab. Google’s latest and greatest (?) phone that features a notch has been setting the community ablaze – some good, some bad. Either way, it will be nice to finally see it in the flesh and get a price. Speaking of the price, rumors ranged from $799.99 and up to $999.99.

Then there’s the new Chromecast, which not only features Bluetooth support but was also sold prematurely. Oops. This is also being included in the, wait for it, leaked Smart TV Kit – includes the 3rd generation Chromecast, and a Google Home Mini.

The Home Hub, a smart device that we caught wind of during CES 2018. This looks to be Google’s answer to the Amazon Echo Show. It looks like a tablet attached to a speaker base.

Of course, I’m sure there’s going to be a few other surprises, such as a new Chromebook. Hopefully, one that’s not outrageously overpriced like the Pixel Chromebook was. I’d also like to see Google return to making affordable tablets. I loved the Nexus line-up, and the Nexus 7 will remain one of my favorite tablets of all time. While the Google Pixel C is nice, it’s once again way too overpriced.

Lastly, I fully expect Google to talk about Project Stream, formerly known as Project Yeti. Now out in the wife as part of an ongoing that I was able to get access to. A new game streaming service that has the potential to shake things up, and possibly going to be released in early 2019? Yeah, count on that being mentioned a few times.
