How to respec your character in Lords of the Fallen (2023)

By Keith MitchellOctober 12, 2023
Lords of the Fallen 2023 Review4

Just like most Soulslike games, Lords of the Fallen gives players the ability to respec your character, which is helpful when you realize that you possibly made initially putting those experience points to work. But not to worry, as Lords of the Fallen gives you the option to set your character build, but there is a catch.

Respec your character in Lords of the Fallen

Once you’ve beaten Pieta, the first boss of the game, you’ll be able to access the hub, Skyrest, and it’s here you’ll be able to do things such as buy items and, for this guide, change your character specs.

To do this, you’ll need to head to Molhu, the creature that can only be seen when you are I’m the Umbral state. He’ll sell you the Rebirth Chrysalis for 8000 vigor. Keep in mind that he only has one to sell, but there are others that can be purchased further into the game. In addition, you’ll able to purchase them via the Shrine of the Putrid Mother, located in Umbral, where Molhu is, inside of Skyrest. Once tier two has been reached through overall community contributions by donating Plucked Eyes. Which will take some time given that the game just was released, and people will need to do the revenge mini-quests to get those items.

Once you have the Rebirth Chrysalis, head over to Pieta, and she’ll have the option to “Reset Build.” The item won’t be used up until you fully confirm you want to reset your character build.

This only resets the character builds, so don’t worry about your items being reset to their base forms.
