CD Projekt Red is not done with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt just yet, and despite the game being over a decade old, the studio has revealed a brand-new expansion that will bring Geralt of Rivia back for another adventure called “Songs of the Past“. This expansion is currently in development and is set to launch in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Songs of the Past is being co-developed by CD Projekt Red and Fool’s Theory (The Thaumaturge). More details on the expansion will be shared in late summer 2026.

This expansion announcement arrives around the 10th anniversary of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, the game’s second major expansion and one of the most beloved pieces of DLC ever released. To celebrate, CD Projekt Red is hosting a special anniversary stream on May 28 at 5 PM CEST, revisiting Toussaint, the land of knights, vineyards, wine, and vampires.
And if you by any chance have not played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt yet, then now is the perfect time to do so. It is easily one of the best action RPG adventures ever created, with plenty to do, enjoyable combat, memorable characters, and two amazing expansions that will take you quite some time to get through.
