FromSoftware’s Duskbloods Is a Nintendo Switch 2 Exclusive with Shades of Bloodborne

During the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo and FromSoftware unveiled their latest creation: Duskbloods. From the studio behind Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Armored Core, this new title is already making waves. Slated for release in 2026 as a Switch 2 exclusive, Duskbloods has fans buzzing with excitement, especially since it seems to carry echoes of Bloodborne—an intriguing nod for longtime devotees.

Check out the Duskbloods trailer below.

After the reveal, more information about the game was uncovered. While we knew it was a multiplayer title, we now know that this is a PvPvE, where up to 8 players will compete against themselves and computer controller foes. The in-game characters are known as the “Bloodsworn”, a group that has transcended human strength thanks to their special blood, and throw themselves into a violent fray for “First Blood” as the twilight of humanity approaches.

But what’s more interesting is that Miyazaki is directing the game. What should mean something? But what, that’s the question.

I’ll be honest, I could get behind a strictly PVP game, but PvPvE is a bit too much for various reasons. Still, it is a bit too early to assume the worst, and Fromsoftware has been on top of its game with its releases, so I’ll leave it as a “We’ll wait and see how this turns out.”
