We’re looking for freelance writers to join The Outerhaven and help expand our collection of game guides, lists, reviews, and editorials. Whether you’re an experienced writer or someone with fresh takes and enthusiasm, we want to hear from you!

Things we’re looking for

• Gaming Guides – Step-by-step walkthroughs, beginner tips, strategy breakdowns
• Gaming Lists – Top 5’s, Top 10’s, Best Weapons, Best Characters, etc.
• Editorials

Here’s what we’re looking for right now

What your pitch idea should include

• It should be about something recent unless you feel this idea is timeless.
• It would help if you had a clear argument for why this idea should be written. Is it interesting? Is it compelling?
• Why are you the right person for this idea? Pitch us! Entice us! Hold us hostage (maybe don’t do that).

Be informative

Above all else, your submission must be informative and entertaining. Have you done your research? Does your pitch make sense to readers, and you? A strong pitch is clear, concise, and backed by knowledge. We’re looking for content that teaches, engages, and adds value. So make sure you’ve done your homework before hitting submit.

We’re inclusive

We welcome everyone, regardless of background or identity. If you’re passionate about games and can create content that’s engaging, informative, and well-researched, you’re in the right place.

That said, we have a limited budget, and not everything submitted will be approved. Nor will everything that gets to us be a fit for what we do here.
