There are two films that will air in Japan this summer, starting in July, as confirmed by the film’s director Shinji Higuchi.  The movie will introduce seven brand new characters to the franchise, all of which will play an integral part in the movie’s story.  Attack on Titan is a story that tells the struggle of humans against humanoid giants. In the film, the new character Shikishima has been described as holding the key to being “humanity’s strongest man.”

Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga is still ongoing in Japan. It has inspired four spin-off manga series, a 25 episode anime production, two animated films which retold the anime series, and several OVA shorts & specials.  A second season of the Attack on Titan anime is confirmed for 2016.  The manga is available in North America under the Kondansha Comics license.
