Final Fantasy Dissidia Once Again Returns As A Mobile Game With Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy

Square Enix has announced a brand new title for Final Fantasy Dissidia fans. It is once again on mobile phones but as Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy. This looks to be a lot different than the last game they had in the series known as Final Fantasy Dissidia Opera Omnia. To get a better view of the new game, Square Enix showed it in a YouTube trailer.

I am a huge fan of the Dissidia games, or at least the old ones on the PSP. I was actually a fan of Final Fantasy Dissidia Opera Omnia and how it used progression to get new characters. It was also very free to play, friendly, and gave a lot of free crystals, as well as free multi pulls on the featured weapon banners. Anyway, the newer Square Enix games do provide a lot of resources, but they have worse rates, based on my experience. I hope this game doesn’t follow that trend, but I will admit that the outfits they give to the characters look great! I love the new outfits shown for Terra and Lightning. It is sad they showed the blond Terra instead of the green-haired one, but maybe you can customize the hair to give us green-haired Terra.

You can sign up for the Android closed beta right now for a chance to be one of the first ones to test the game on the Square Enix website. Combat is in a more action-based three vs three battle system. Not the greatest fan of that in a mobile game. I generally like turn-based since speed isn’t the best when it comes to phone games. As phones get bigger and bigger, the distance your finger has to travel lengthens and can slow down your response rate in action-based games. Maybe I just have to get a controller that works on my phone if I want to do more action-based games.

The Android Closed Beta Test will run from Thursday, Nov. 6 until Friday, Nov. 14 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 12:59 a.m. (PST) / Friday, Nov. 7 until Friday, Nov. 14 (UTC) between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 8:59 a.m. (UTC) each day.

To commemorate the launch of the Closed Beta Test on Nov. 6, the company will host a raffle on the DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY official social media accounts. Follow the official DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY Twitter (@DDFF_EN) or Facebook account and repost the Closed Beta Test post by the entry deadline. Twenty winners will be selected at random to receive an Amazon Gift Card in celebration of the upcoming Closed Beta Test.
