Evo Japan 2025: Tekken 8 News, Fahkumram Revealed

By Kevin KellyMay 12, 2025

Tekken Project revealed the Tekken 8 Season 2 Spring & Summer trailer yesterday at Evo Japan 2025. Namco revealed that there is alot to unpack from this massive set of updates. Balance and ranked match issues will be addressed with more updates on the way.

Get Ready For New Versions

Tekken 8 will be getting new versions of the game to address balances issues and bring about new content. May 13 will be the 2.01 update with Cyber Phantom Pack and Vigilante Tech Pack. Tekken Ghost Showdown will also be coming. Version 2.02 will be coming on June 3rd with new Classic Costumes and Karate Kid: Legends DLC. Panda / Kuma color costumes will be here, too. Version 2.03 will be coming in the summer with the Pac-Man collaboration for the fight pass.

Karate Kid: Legends Collaboration Incoming

We’re not getting Lei Oolong yet, but we have ourselves the Karate Kid: Legends collaboration which celebrates the May 30th movie starring the man himself – Jackie Chan. Fighters will be able to get other cosmetics from the collab such as hoodies and t-shirts to promote the movie. Waxing off opponents might be something to do with these drips.

Pac-Man Is Coming to Tekken 8

New decals, clothes, and a Pac-Man stage for the yellow muncher will be added to Tekken 8. T-Shirts and other costumes will be added along with cosmetics for even Tekken Ball and the arcade. All this to celebrate his 45th anniversary.

Fahkumram Returns

Fahkumram will be the next fighter to join the roster as the Returning Character. He fights to rescue his family after being arrested for killing in self-defense, the once former Mauy Thai prodigy (no, not Josie), with a name that’s brutal to say, returns to the King of the Iron Fist Tournament. The Tekken 7 returnee seems to keep getting more and more security harnesses to transport his power to the ring. Only his teaser was shown with no match gameplay. One more returning challenger will be making up the rest of Tekken 8’s Season 2 roster before we get the new blood.

Tekken 8 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
