Digimon Story: Time Stranger Gets New Story Trailer

By Scott AdamsAugust 27, 2025

Today Bandai Namco has given us a brand new trailer for Digimon Story: Time Stranger. This trailer specifically deals with the game’s story and how it affects the real world and the digital world.

Aegiomon is the great guardian who can help the player open the gate. Aiding in Aegiomon’s efforts will mean helping to cleanse the digital world. There appears to be a faction that wants to rid the world of Digimon, which will hamper the progress in having peaceful coexistence between the two worlds. The trailer ends with the phrase “A story about the natural laws of the world is about to begin“.

As an agent of ADAMAS, the fate of both the Human world and the Digital world will be for players to decide in DIGIMON STORY TIME STRANGER. Assist Aegiomon and high school student Inori Misono as they investigate anomalies around Shinjuku and traverse through time to learn more about the calamity that threatens to destroy both worlds.

Bandai notes that this entry is a perfect entry point into the series and into the world of JRPGs as a whole. I am super excited for this game to release, and there is only a month and a half to go!!!

Digimon Story Time Stranger will be released on October 3rd, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can also read our preview of the game from Anime Expo!
