Dbrand KillSwitch Case Revealed for ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X

By Keith MitchellAugust 16, 2025

The ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X has been the talk of the gaming space for months, good or bad, and accessory makers are now joining in. One of the first to step up is Dbrand, which has announced that it is releasing a new line of mobile hardware accessories for the handheld.

Dbrand confirmed it is working on a version of its KillSwitch, a rugged protective case for the ROG Xbox Ally X. The KillSwitch has already been released for the Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, ROG Ally, Ally X, and Legion Go S, and now the ROG Xbox Ally X is next in line.

From the teaser page on Dbrand’s website, the KillSwitch includes a protective shell that fits the ROG Xbox Ally X snugly, textured grips for comfort, and a kickstand for tabletop play. Based on past versions, it is safe to assume the case will also include a screen cover and offer plenty of durability against drops and everyday wear.

Dbrand has revealed it is working on Killswitch version for the ROG Xbox Ally X.

Interestingly, the ROG Xbox Ally, which will be the cheaper and less powerful version of the lineup, was not mentioned. Pricing details were also missing, which is unusual since Dbrand has historically been upfront about costs and often opens pre-orders early to secure demand.

This reveal suggests we may be getting close to a release date for the ROG Xbox Ally lineup. With Gamescom 2025 and PAX West 2025 just around the corner, it would not be surprising if we hear more about both release timing and pricing very soon.
