The King of Magical Beasts seeks an audience once more when Clevatess Season 1 comes to Blu-ray™ on August 18 from Crunchyroll. Packed with a royal bounty’s worth of special features, fans can look forward to diving deeper into the lore of Clevatess with a director interview, a special effects breakdown of Chapter 1 with the production team, a behind-the-scenes look at the English dub cast, and more.
Directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi, with a series composition written by Keigo Koyanagi (The Rising of The Shield Hero), Clevatess is produced by studio Lay-duce (Magi: Adventure of Sinbad). Nominated for Best New Series at this year’s 10th Annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards, the dark fantasy series’s first season streamed episodes weekly on Crunchyroll in July through September 2025. Clevatess Season 2 will begin streaming new episodes weekly on Crunchyroll this July.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A lonely dragon wants to be loved – The Movie and Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 4 are also being released on Blu-ray on August 11.
Lastly, Crunchyroll will now be releasing Dragon Ball DAIMA on Blu-ray on August 11, 2026, which was previously set for a March 3, 2026 street date. The anime series was created in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball’s manga serialization, and the Dragon Ball DAIMA Blu-ray release will mark the 40th anniversary of the Dragon Ball anime series.
