AEW Dynamite Recap – 10/29/2025

By Jen RozenOctober 30, 2025
AEW Dynamite Recap

It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means. We’re back with a special spooky edition of AEW Fright Night Dynamite. The ghouls were out in full force tonight, as RUKUS himself whipped up tonight’s very own theme music! So, let’s get this AEW Dynamite Recap started!

On previous Fright Nights, we’ve seen Run SCU, Ghostbusters Elite, Spawn, and Resident Evil’s Ada Wong, Stay Puft Marshmallow Hangman, Goku, Power Rangers, Tiny Tunes, and many others!

Let’s see what we have in store for tonight’s show!

We started off the show with a Trick or Treat Tornado Tag featuring Darby and OC vs Death Riders’ Garcia and Yoots.
Darby Allin orange cassidy vs Daniel Garcia Wheeler Yuta

OC’s Titantron is so pixelated nowadays. Maybe he thought that he was playing Minecraft? Eh…whatever… Darby came out as Dark Man. It seemed as though Daniel relished his new vicious persona. Yoots thought he was Okada for a second and paid the price after giving the crowd the finger!!! Darby always puts ‘suicida’ in Tope Suicida. And right on cue, he bounced back for a coffin drop from the stands. Unbelievable. Seriously, this match was going at a fever-pitch only a few minutes in! Love it!

Oh, look at that, Cassidy snuck a sip of soda from a starstruck fan. The Deathriders also performed a cool-looking assisted Romero Special in the corner. Ouch.

Uh-Oh, here comes the tables. Yoots thought it was a good idea to execute a Superman Splash to OC on a table, but both ended up fast asleep. At first, I thought Darby offered his skateboard to Daniel as a gift, but he just wanted a beating. Daniel didn’t take the bait and ended up with a Canadian Destroyer for his troubles. Darby sent Yoots to “Yambag Jones City“. OC paid homage to Chucky T with a Sole Food while Darby won the match with a homage to his mentor, Sting, with the Scorpion Deathlock. Toss some candy over here, OC! Could we see Darby and OC as future Tag Team contenders after the Death Riders stuff is done?

We had a backstage segment with Hook. He was wearing a D12 shirt. While he explained that he was the underdog for the 4-way match later on tonight, he’s going to take his revenge personally on Samoa Joe. I’m sure Joe was quaking in his boots.

Renee interviewed Don Callis backstage. He waved down the Broke Bucks and offered them an invitation to the family. He even paid for their theme music tonight. Don was such a swell guy, wasn’t he? As the Bucks were walking to the gorilla position, we saw three people dressed as a cow, Stay Puft marshmallow man, and a dark suit. Who could they be? And why was Don introducing the Bucks? Wow, he went all out with pyro as well?!

Jack came out with his ‘Scapegoat’ mask, which he used when he was in The Elite. Glad to see that wasn’t fully abandoned! Anyway, a match I never knew I wanted until today was Speedball vs Jack 1-on-1. At first, I thought to myself, “Why was Kevin Knight attacking Luchasaurus?” That was when I checked the stipulation again and realized it was a 4-way fight. Doh. There were so many people in the ring that I thought it was a tornado tag match. Kevin clutched his knee when Dax gave him an outside suplex from the top rope. Let’s hope he’s ok. Update: He seems ok.

Being the biggest in the match, Luchasaurus was dominating. He was pulling his own weight and then some. Jetspeed picked up the momentum by doing a dropkick Doomsday Device on Jack to the outside. Then the Bucks went ‘full-on PWG mode’ and had a superkick party. This match was nuts and once again proved that the tag team division has never been stronger in AEW.

In the end, FTR snuck in for the victory. I’m not a happy camper. I was hoping the Jurassic Express would’ve won. I’m guessing TK didn’t want two baby face teams going at it at Full Gear. Plus, Jurassic Express JUST got back, and I don’t think they’d win at Full Gear had they won the 4-way. It’s better to stretch things out with them.

FTR Young Bucks Jetspeed Jurassic Express

The best faction in the business was up next. I couldn’t wait for things to go down. I think tonight would be the night “The Alpha” Takeshita goes back to baby face “Cinnabon” Takeshita.

Don Callis

I liked how Josh Alexander is dressed up like the hitman, Jason Statham. While everyone was walking down the ramp looking all serious, Lance was in his little own world vlogging LOL. The crowd was popping hard for Hechicero. The five that were missing from the summit initially were Takeshita, Cage (injured), Trent, Wardlow (injured), and Andrade (contract oblivion).

(Todd Edit: Don’t get me started on the Andrade situation…stupid Fed…)

Rocky unveiled the beautiful painting of Mel’s DCF family portrait. There were only 11 members on there. The two missing were Wardlow and Andrade (legal reasons).

While Fletcher was regurgitating the DCF’s oath, a disgruntled Takeshita appeared! Ohh, I’m so ready! Okada looked disinterested as usual. At least he got up from his seat to go face-to-face with Takeshita! Don explained that the DCF will continue to succeed if they listen to what HE WANTS. That’s not going to go too well, Don. What?

You want Takeshita to make amends and shake Okada’s hand? No, don’t do it, Soup! When Don finally convinced him to do it, troll Okada showed up and ruined everything! Don forced them to tag together this Saturday on Collision. Let’s see if that would work for the tenth time, Don! This slow burn is amazing! I’m here for it!

Jon Moxley vs Kyle O Reilly

The third match was a rematch between Mox vs Kyle O’ Reilly. Let’s hope there’s no cheap DQs tonight. I’m talking to you, Mox. Kyle felt slighted with the way things ended last week, so he wasn’t wasting any time tonight. It’s too bad for Kyle that Jon was still using dirty tactics to gain an advantage. Mox focused on multiple piledrivers, including a Gotch-Styled one, but Kyle fought out and focused on leg damage and submission holds. Mox was flailing like a fish out of water as O’ Reilly was applying the ankle lock. Would he tap out? Nope, he slithered away.

It seemed as though Marina bails him out every single time. Is she under his trance? What? The match ended with a countout. As Excalibur would say, “Un-Be-Liev-Able.” The crowd also expressed their displeasure with some ‘choice words’. Marina was back in the ring when Kyle was asking for more time for the match, and she KO’d Aubrey!!!! Was that even necessary? Claudio ran in, and the shenanigans ensued. The Conglomeration and Death Riders joined the melee. Darby, Briscoe, and OC grabbed the mic and challenged the Death Riders to Blood and Guts! Let’s goooo!

Meanwhile, Stat-Daddy and Mercedes were brawling backstage after Stat called her out (while dressed as Goku Black!!!!). Mone was a brave soul to brawl with her high-heeled boots on. The brawl dragged to the ring. An imprint of Mercedes’ makeup was on the mat when Stat faceplanted her onto the apron. All of a sudden, a wild Athena appeared to back up Mone! I think she wanted her in one piece going into the Tag Team Tournament. Anyway, Willow and Harley came out and saved Stat.

(Todd Edit: Mercedes vs. Athena vs. Statlander…when, TK…?)

Queen Aminata Jamie Hayter vs Sisters of Sin

Up next were the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarterfinals. The Sisters of Sin would face Queen Aminata and Jamie Hayter. While the Sisters of Sin have more tag team experience, Aminata and Hayter are both stiff wrestlers. Julia might’ve been seeing stars after that nasty double suplex. During a match, a creepy, crawly spider emerged out from under the ring and bit Hayter. Hint: It was Thekla

The Sisters of Sin took full advantage and advanced to the semifinals. Where would Jamie and Aminata go from here?

(Todd Edit: Well…there is a steel cage match coming soon…)

Backstage, Schiavone (Phantom of the Opera) talked to Penelopes and Megan Bayne. It appeared as though Penelope injured her elbow last week from that outside moonsault. What bad timing. They could no longer participate in the tournament. But Marina stepped in! What a lethal tag team. I think they’re now the favorites to win it all. AEW is a master of the pivot, and that’s one heck of a pivot!

Bobby Lashley ricochet Samoa Joe hook

Finally…it was main event time!

Lashley looked sculpted. Joe looked like Sweet Tooth. Hook looked motivated. And Ricochet still looked bald. Hook had a death wish when he tried to size up Bobby. Ricobald’s Tope Suicida bounced off Bobby, but Joe’s was far more lethal. The crowd was feasting for ‘MEAT’ tonight as Lashley and Joe clashed in the middle of the ring. Seriously, we need that 1-on-1 soon!

Was Hook going to get his revenge on Joe? Wow, he had Joe up on that T-Bone suplex. That was quite impressive. Ricobald showed us that he could still fly out there with the best of them as he landed the Sasuke Special and a Shooting Star Press. When Joe performs a Senton, you move!

Ricobald was desperate enough to use a chair on Bobby. Bad move, Bald! While Bobby was distracted, Joe tapped out Hook with a Coquina Clutch. This was predictable as Joe will now have his rematch against Hangman. Let’s see if Hangman could survive Joe for the second time in a row.

After the match, Schiavone, TK, and a bunch of animals joined the ring for a Hangman v Joe contract signing. We all knew that Hangman was Stay Puft, right? Joe played it safe to tell the rest of the OPPS to beat them all up. Well, I guess the Marshmallow Man wasn’t Hangman after all. Oops…

Wait a minute, Hangman turned into Schiavone! He got me fooled. He ruthlessly attacked Joe with a buckshot and haymakers. The show ended with an enraged Hangman being held back by security.

Phew, what a way to end the show! What did you guys think of AEW Dynamite? Let your thoughts on my AEW Dynamite Recap be heard in the comments below!
