AEW Collision Recap – 12/20/25

By Todd BlackDecember 20, 2025
AEW Collision Recap

Happy holidays, everyone! This week and next week will be packed with AEW content, if a little “out of order,” due to both Christmas and the college football playoff. However, even with a one-hour Collision today, things are still red hot in All Elite Wrestling! So, let’s break down my AEW Collision Recap!

I wasn’t sure how the show would go today, especially since they filmed it on Wednesday and things still had to be “cut” a certain way, but I was thrilled that they started out with…

Bailey has absolutely been one of the stars of the Continental Classic, and Jack Perry had a standout match against Okada last week, which made you wonder how tonight would go. It was a very different match than I was expecting, and the keyword for the battle was “counters.”

Jungle Jack Perry (@boy_myth_legend) just bounced @SpeedballBailey off of the steel steps!

Because every time you thought that one of them had the advantage, or would be able to exploit the weakness of the other, one of them stepped up to make a big move to reset the match entirely:

.@SpeedballBailey missed with the knees, opening @boy_myth_legend up for a destroyer on the apron!

KNEE TO KNEE CONTACT!

While it wasn’t given as much time as other C2 matches (likely due to the constraints they had with the one-hour show and no overrun to use,) this was still a fast-paced 10-plus-minute showcase, and one with a surprising ending!

.@boy_myth_legend bites @SpeedballBailey's toes to help him get the win!

Yeah, Jack Perry got the win! I was very stunned by this, as I thought that he’d only get one win right at the very end to screw everyone over. Yet, he actually has a chance to go all the way, should he win out. Intrigue, no?

Next up was Eddie Kingston vs. Nathan Cruz, a local British wrestler who has been featured a bit in AEW’s recent UK swing, including during AEW Dark Stocking Stuffer earlier in the week. Just like then, he was backed up by the Grizzled Young Veterans…who clearly had bias during the fight…

Before Eddie Kingston can even get in the ring, he's attacked by the Grizzled Young Veterans!

We all knew that this one would be a squash match, and it pretty much was. Cruz had some impressive offense, but Eddie Kingston wasn’t going to lose to this guy:

I’m not sure where Eddie goes from here. He got his world title shot and lost, and while he had a great promo on Dynamite, there’s no clear “path” for him right now. Then again, that might be the intent. That way, when he DOES declare who or what he’s going after, we can all enjoy the surprise.

Speaking of which….

Yeah, this was another thing from Dynamite that I was surprised by. Mercedes putting up her two Rev Pro belts in an open challenge seemed like a clear “victory for Mone,” right? Then, it hit me, “Wait, doesn’t AEW have a Brit that isn’t currently tied up in any feuds?

WINDSAAAAAA! @HailWindsor has answered the challenge!

Yep, WINDSAAA!!!!!!!!! Alex Windsor took the shot at Mone, and we would not be disappointed by what would follow.

This was a really good women’s match. Windsor had already proven her value in both singles and tag team matches, including a fun bout with Athena a while back. When it came to facing Mone, she was showing off some really good moves:

Not that Mone was a slouch, mind you. She kept going back to her submissions to try and get the win over Alex. But, a funny thing happened in Manchester…

WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION! @HAILWINDSOR HAS DONE IT!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) December 20, 2025

Yep! Alex Windsor won!!!! WIN-DSOR!!!!! Get it? That pop when she won must have felt really good to her. To have about 11K in the crowd roaring as she held her TWO new belts above, and even brought her son out to celebrate with her! No “Billy Bruv,” but we need to wait for his return.

And now, Mone is down two more belts, which brings her total to 9, if I recall correctly. It was a really smart move to have her drop the Rev Pro one on TV while they were in Manchester, as it not only pushes Windsor, and continues the story with Mone, but it makes people hear “RevPro” a lot more, and it just feels right, wouldn’t you say?

Plus, now you have to wonder how she’ll be able to “focus” at World’s End, now that she’s desperate to win some belts.

Finally, in the main event was Okada vs. Kevin Knight! These two had fought earlier in the year and it was a fun bout. So, the question was, could they shine once more in the C2?

Uh, yeah, that’s what they’ve been doing all tournament! Just like Bailey, Kevin Knight has been showing out with each match, and this one was no different, including beating Okada at his own game…

.@RainmakerXOkada gets a taste of his own medicine from @Jet2Flyy!

Then, Okada decided to play some mind games of his own!

.@RainmakerXOkada pulled a fast one on @Jet2Flyy!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) December 20, 2025

That was gold. No pun intended. As many have been saying online recently, “Okada was born to be a comedy wrestler, but was given the body of the Rainmaker.” Which, yeah, that’s fair. He’s clearly having fun with this, so who are we to judge?

Anyway, this was a high-impact fight, and both men showed out, with Kevin even going dropkick for dropkick with Okada at one point.

And then…ANOTHER funny thing happened over in Manchester!

KEVIN KNIGHT JUST BEAT KAZUCHIKA OKADA!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) December 20, 2025

That’s right! Okada lost again! Kevin Knight really is “2 Fly!” So, what does that mean? Well, in the Gold League, there’s a 5-way tie for first place! That means that it all really comes down to the final two nights of the main league battles. Both Dynamite on Wednesday and Collision on Thursday will be packed with Continental Classic matches, so the winner and runner-up positions in both leagues are still up for grabs!

With that, my AEW Collision Recap is done! Were you happy with this fast hour of wrestling action? Who do YOU think will be the final four in the C2 when World’s End hits next Saturday? Let me know below!
