A Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Nintendo Switch 2 Port Is A “Possibility”

But the team won't confirm it as of yet.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

When certain video games become incredibly popular, the biggest question that most have is whether a port to certain other systems will happen. Given today’s gaming age, there are fewer and fewer exclusives out there rooted to consoles or PC. So, for many, it’s not a question of if, but when. For many, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is the frontrunner in the “Game of the Year” contest, and for good reason. Sandfall Interactive crafted an incredibly deep and beautiful world full of characters that players have resonated with. Yet, you can’t get it on Nintendo Switch 2…yet.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is the hottest console on the market, and it’s already being billed as an “RPG machine” early on in its life, which Clair Obscur Expedition 33 definitely falls under the genre banner of. So, when the team was asked about a potential port, they said there are “possibilities” they’re trying out, but they haven’t confirmed anything:

“We have some possibilities that we will explore, but we can’t confirm anything at this time.”

If that sounds familiar, it’s because we’ve heard that line quite a bit recently from certain 3rd party developers, including Suda51! The game does seem like a “natural fit” for the console, but it’s up to Sandfall Interactive to determine if they can get it to function on the new system properly.
