Discover The Creators in the PlayStation Store for Your Next Purchase

By Yhani JonesMay 25, 2017

Sony has come up with an amazing new idea for curated content in the PlayStation Store this week and it’s called, The Creators. Keep in mind, this is no ordinary group of recommendations. This area in the PlayStation Store features a group of curated games selected by a number of known developers and other notable figures throughout the video game industry.

PlayStation is adding a new level of legitimacy with the line up of creators that they have chosen. Most notably the president of PlayStation Worldwide Studios himself, Shuhei Yoshida, who unveils a list of games that he personally recommends we play on the PlayStation 4.

Shuhei Yoshida,

I grew up as an action game fan and always look for games that feel second nature in controlling the game character with my hands.

-Shuhei Yoshida

Just to name a few out of more than a dozen games that he has chosen, Yoshida’s list includes games such as, Horizon Zero Dawn, Dark Souls III, and Nioh.

In addition to Yoshida, you will also notice a list of recommended titles by Herman Hulst (co-founder of Guerilla Games), Yoshinori Ono (executive producer of Street Fighter games), Siobhan Reddy (co-founder of Media Molecule), and many others, bringing the total number of curators to 17 at the launch of this program.

The Creators is currently only available in the United States and will hopefully go live in other areas around the world on the PlayStation Store. For now, those without this feature can check out the lineup of games and creators here.

PlayStation’s new group of curated games is a great way to discover titles that some of the industries best developers and studios are interested in. If you’re in the market for a new game this summer, what better way than to browse The Creators page of recommendations, you never know what may pique your interest.
