During the Dragon Ball 40th Anniversary event, right after the reveal of Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol Arc, it was also announced that a new Dragon Ball game is in development at Bandai Namco. For now, the project is going by the codename “New Game Project Age 1000.”

Details are still scarce, but a short teaser trailer introduced a new, unnamed character who appears to be a Saiyan. He is seen wearing a Capsule Corp-branded uniform and using what looks like a simulation program to summon multiple opponents inside a training-room-style environment. One by one, he takes them down with ease.

Near the end of the trailer, we catch a glimpse of the shadow of a familiar figure: Goku. It has not been confirmed whether this is the real Goku, a simulation, or possibly another character entirely. Whoever it is, it gets this new character pumped, and it’s then that we see him transform into a Super Saiyan.

The teaser ends there, with the name New Age Project 1000 appearing, with a possible release window of 2027, leaving fans with more questions than answers. More of this game will be revealed during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, which takes place April 18 to April 19, 2026.
