Capcom Reveals Resident Evil Requiem PC System Requirements

By Keith MitchellOctober 30, 2025
Resident Evil Requiem New York Comic Con

Capcom has officially unveiled the PC requirements for Resident Evil Requiem, giving PC players an early look at what kind of hardware they’ll need when the game launches on February 27, 2026. The listings on both Steam and the Epic Games Store confirm that these specs are final, not placeholders.

What’s surprising is how reasonable the requirements are. Compared to Resident Evil Village, the demands aren’t much higher, which is great news for those using slightly older PCs or handheld gaming devices. Resident Evil Village ran pretty damned well on PC, so I’m expecting the same for Resident Evil Requiem.

That said, every time I’ve seen the game in action so far, it’s been via console — whether hands-off or hands-on presentations. I’m really hoping it performs just as well on PC, but if it doesn’t, I’m sure the PC gaming community will let us all know.

Resident Evil Requiem PC Requirements

Minimum:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 11 (64-bit required)
Processor: Intel Core i5-8500 / AMD Ryzen 5 3500
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce GTX 1660 6GB / Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB
DirectX: Version 12

Recommended:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 11 (64-bit required)
Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 5500
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce RTX 2060 Super 8GB / Radeon RX 6600 8GB
DirectX: Version 12

Capcom’s decision to launch Resident Evil Requiem on both Steam and the Epic Games Store is also worth noting. This is one of the few times the company has brought a mainline Resident Evil title, let alone any Capcom published title, to Epic’s storefront, expanding its reach across PC platforms.

With the release just a few months away, PC players can start prepping their rigs now. And if history is any indicator, Capcom’s RE Engine should deliver another smooth, well-optimized experience.

While we all wait for the ninth installment of Capcom’s popular survival horror title to be released, be sure to check out our Resident Evil Requiem hands-on preview from New York Comic Con 2025.
