With the launch of new, cutting-edge AI-powered services, Berriz — Kakao Entertainment’s global K-culture fan platform — is now enhancing the user experience. K-culture fans can enjoy real-time chats with AI personas of Gianna Jun and Gang Dong-won, the stars of the upcoming Disney+ original series “Tempest,” and explore witty keywords and insights generated from a myriad of fan comments.

Berriz will launch a new section in the “Tempest” fan community at 8 p.m., Sept. 10 (KST,) where users can chat with AI personas modeled after the characters. “Tempest” revolves around Munju (played by Gianna Jun,) a calm but strong woman who gained international acclaim as a UN ambassador, and Sanho (Gang Dong-won,) an ace from a world-renowned mercenary company whose true identity remains shrouded in secrecy. Berriz’s AI personas — trained using scripts to reflect these characters’ speech styles, personalities, preferences, and values — will actively engage with fans through Q&A conversations.

“Tempest” zooms in on how Munju investigates the forces behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate alongside Sanho. With their lifelike AI personas, fans will be able to delve deeper into the series by discussing its characters and sharing their own interpretations of the nail-biting, unpredictable story. As this new service expands the series’ universe and lets viewers dive deeper into the story and characters, it will add a new layer of entertainment by diversifying fan experience beyond just watching.

Moreover, Berriz’ another standout service “AI Comment Report,” which recently entered beta, is garnering positive reviews from fans worldwide. It analyzes fan comments on artists’ posts, classify them into different keywords, and summarize their reactions and notable features in an easily recognizable style. By displaying diverse fan reactions through witty keywords and analysis, both artists and their fans can easily follow the flow and enjoy a new form of interactive entertainment.

When WOODZ uploaded a photo after being picked as a model for a beauty brand, fans coined a new nickname “WOODZ, the Hydration Coach” inspired by the keyword analysis. MONSTA X followers also launched the “Well Done” challenge to cheer on the group after they shared a post following their first performance of a new song on a music show. The “AI Comment Report” is currently available on the mobile version only and will be expanded after the beta test. It will be translated into English for global fans as well.

“Berriz is a global K-culture fan platform where K-culture aficionados gather, communicate and enjoy content in more diverse and holistic ways,” said Kakao Entertainment. “To further enrich their experience, we plan to introduce a variety of new services in the days ahead.”

Berriz, designed to bring together fans of all kinds of K-culture IP from artists and creators to dramas, films, webtoons and musicals, currently offers services in 18 languages including English and Korean. Numerous top-tier artists including IU, IVE and MONSTA X have joined the platform, boosting interaction with their fans worldwide.
