New Nintendo Direct Rumors Tease “Special Set” Of Games Getting Shown

Can you guess the lucky "7s"?

Nintendo Direct September 2025

I’ve been enjoying my Nintendo Switch 2 since its launch in June, but as I’ve noted on the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, I want to know what I’m getting the rest of this year and what awaits us all in 2026. The Big N has been dropping some key release dates, but there are still mysteries to be had, which is why we ALL want a Nintendo Direct to happen soon. Over the last few weeks, there have been rumors from a certain “insider duo” that have predicted one is happening this week, likely on Thursday or Friday.

One of those insiders, SwitchForce, made a claim the other day that three of the games in the Nintendo Direct would be connected to the number “7.” One obvious guess on that front is Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, which has been confirmed for the Switch 2, but not given a release date. Now, SwitchForce has said in the days following that fans haven’t guessed the full trio, and that one guess in particular was incorrect:

SwitchForce says nobody has gotten the correct combination of games for his "7" clue yet. He also says Ace Attorney 7 will NOT be at the Nintendo Direct.

As an Ace Attorney fan who has been BEGGING for the 7th entry to arrive…this hurts my soul. It’s hard to guess what the other games are in the trio, but it could also be something that no one expects, which may make things even better.

If nothing else, if we just get the Direct this week, then we won’t have to worry about more rumors popping up for a bit about when the next one is. So, PLEASE, Nintendo, give us a Direct!!!
