It’s been a “video game showcase” season recently, hasn’t it? First, there was Gamescom, which had record numbers across many metrics. Then, there was PAX West, which we got to cover here on The Outerhaven, in part. And in a few weeks, there will be the Tokyo Game Show. This event will bring many prominent Japanese companies to the forefront to highlight the many games they are developing, and one of the ones that will definitely be there is Square Enix. The reason we know that is they posted on their website the lineup they’ll have for the show, and you can see it below:

Square Enix announced their Tokyo Game Show lineup: 1) Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles2) Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake3) Octopath Traveler 04) The Adventures of Elliot5) FF VII Remake Intergrade6) Killer Inn7) Dragon Quest X Online8) FF XIVjp.square-enix.com/tgs25/en/

If you’ve been paying attention to Square Enix recently, you know that these are all big titles for them in one form or another.  For example, the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is arguably the most anticipated title of the set, as the previous remake entry from the classic RPG saga sold incredibly well worldwide, and especially in Japan.

Meanwhile, Octopath Traveler 0 is a new twist on the franchise, and it even got a big info dump recently. The Adventures of Elliot is a new HD-2D title coming next year, and many are excited for it. Finally, Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles is a game that fans have been wanting for a long time.

So, no matter how you slice it, if you’re at the Tokyo Game Show and you see Square Enix’s booth, you’ll have plenty to choose from to keep you occupied.
