Suda51 Confirms That Romeo Is a Dead Man Could Get Nintendo Switch 2 Port

Life finds a way, Suda51!

Romeo Is A Deadman, Suda51, Nintendo Switch 2

In many respects, Suda51 is a guy who loves making games that “he loves to make,” and then he hopes that other people will like them as well. My co-host Will, from the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, is one such fan of his work. Earlier this year, during a State of Play, the next game from this “madman” was announced via Romeo Is a Dead Man, which is an “ultra-violent science fiction” title that has an “unpredictable story. So, what does any of this have to do with the Nintendo Switch 2?

Simply put, at present, the game is not confirmed to be coming to the new console, which is fine, as the game itself isn’t out yet, and the Nintendo Switch 2 wasn’t given out, dev kit-wise, to everyone until rather recently. However, in a chat with GameXplain, Suda51 stated outright that he wants Romeo Is a Dead Man to be on Switch and that he’s working on making that happen:

“Right at this moment, we’re in the middle of doing a bunch of tests and stuff basically to see if we can put it on Switch 2. I personally would love to get it on the Switch 2. I’m hoping it’s going to work out. If Epic ends up working out for us – it’s made with Unreal Engine – and if it works out on Switch 2, then we’re going to do what we can to put it on Switch 2.”

So, there you have it. It makes sense that Suda51 would want his game on the newest console on the market for multiple reasons. First, the Switch 2 is selling like hotcakes. Two, more versions could equal more sales, and finally, Suda51 has a great history with Nintendo, as proven by the No More Heroes franchise.

If you need a “crash course” in what Suda51’s new game is like, you can check out the announcement trailer below or check out the full description on Steam.
