While fans have been wondering whether Borderlands 4 would make its way to the Nintendo Switch, Gearbox has remained quiet. That is, until Randy Pitchford took to Twitter and changed everything.
According to Randy, Borderlands 4 is officially coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 3, 2025. That’s just a few weeks after it lands on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 12. This is great news for anyone who doesn’t own a handheld PC gaming device but still wants to enjoy Borderlands 4 on the go with the Switch 2.
Now that the cat is out of the bag, it will be interesting to see how the game performs on the Switch 2, and even on the Steam Deck. I’m not comparing apples to oranges, but as someone who has fallen in love with mobile gaming, I love the idea of playing on my porch, or while riding the bus or train, without being tied down.
