Nevermind, the Analogue 3D Has Been Delayed Again

Analogue 3D - White

**And it’s been delayed, again.**

In October 2024, Analogue announced that it was working on its Nintendo 64 variant, the Analogue 3D. Shortly afterward, I put down some money on it, since I wanted to start retro game collecting with my son. Well, that and the fact that I’ve missed out on just about every Analogue device I’ve wanted, so I wasn’t going to let this one slip by.

But then… radio silence. We stopped receiving any updates on the upcoming retro console, and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who got a little frustrated. Fortunately, that’s finally changed. I received an email from Analogue stating that the Analogue 3D will begin shipping in August 2025. There’s no exact date yet but just knowing that it’s finally shipping is great news.

To make things even sweeter, the company also announced that it would absorb any extra costs caused by current tariffs—the ones that are making electronics and everything else more expensive than they should be.

Of course, Analogue also added that if you’ve had a change of heart and no longer want the console, you can request a refund—no questions asked.

As for me? I’ve waited this long, and there’s no way I’m canceling. Finding a Nintendo 64 in good condition that doesn’t cost a fortune isn’t easy these days. I’ll be more than happy when my order shows up at the door—and I’m sure my son will be too.

The Analogue 3D is a modern reimagining of the Nintendo 64, designed for retro enthusiasts who want the authenticity of original cartridges with the convenience of today’s tech. Unlike traditional emulation boxes, the Analogue 3D uses FPGA hardware to faithfully recreate the N64 experience, offering native 4K output, region-free support, and compatibility with both original and wireless Bluetooth controllers. This console is perfect for anyone looking to revisit their N64 library.

Now it’s time to hit up some Farmer Markets and see what sort of gems I can find, for cheap, I should add.
