Soulslikes and Action RPGs Worth Grabbing During the Steam Summer Sale 2025

By Keith MitchellJune 29, 2025
steam summer sale 2025 soulslikes and action rpgs on sale-01

The Steam Summer Sale 2025 is in full swing until July 10, 2025, and if you’re like me—hooked on Soulslikes and Action RPGs—then this is your hunting season. I’ll be honest: I jump on these games the moment they drop, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy paying full price. That’s why sales like this are my bread and butter. There’s just something cathartic about getting bodied by a boss while knowing I got the game for half off.

So, I went ahead and rounded up the best Soulslikes and Action RPGs that are not only on sale but worth your time. Some are big names. Others are underrated gems. But all of them share that same blend of punishing combat, moody worlds, and the kind of satisfaction that only comes after you’ve been humbled 14 times in a row.

That said, I know this list is more of a personal list than anything, but let’s be honest. There are more Soulslikes and Action RPGs on Steam that I can slash with a Darkmoon Greatsword, and still hundreds more staring me in the face. So, I suppose these are the ones I highly recommend.

  • Elden Ring (40% off) $35.99 – Yeah, it’s that game. Massive world, ridiculous bosses, and more lore than you’ll ever understand unless you deep-dive YouTube for a weekend. But still worth every death.
  • Lies of P (50% off) $29.99 – I didn’t expect “angry puppet Pinocchio” to slap this hard, but here we are. The combat feels slick, the world is creepy as hell, and it’s one of the better Soulslikes not made by FromSoft. If you get any game on this list, make it this!
  • Remnant II (60% off) $19.99 – This is what happens when you throw Soulslike mechanics into a gunfight and somehow make it work. It’s chaotic, fun, and even better with friends. Better than the second game? Get both and find out for yourself.

  • Remnant: From the Ashes – Complete Edition (70% off) $12.57 – Technically, this is the second game in the series, but it’s still solid. Especially with all the DLC included at this price, it’s Soulslikes with guns as the main choice of weapon.
  • Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter (40% off) $14.99 – Look, it’s a Soulslike with rats. And it’s brutal. Don’t let the art style fool you—this thing will ruin your day in the best way.
  • Star Wars Jedi: Jedia Survivor (80 off) $13.99 – It’s like Soulslite with a lightsaber. Not the hardest game out there, but if you want some solid parry combat and a decent Star Wars story, it’s an easy pickup at this price.
  • Nioh 2 – Complete Edition (55% off) $22.49 – Want your face kicked in by demons while drowning in loot and skill trees? Cool, this one’s for you. Combat is fast, builds are deep, and it doesn’t hold your hand.
  • Hollow Knight (50% off) $7.49 – One of the best indie games ever made. It’s dark, emotional, and tough as nails. Pick it up while you, along with everyone else, wait for its sequel to be released. Also, how is this still under $8?
  • Mortal Shell (90% off) $2.99 – Short, sweet, and solid. The shell-swapping mechanic adds a nice twist to the formula. Great if you want something Soulslike without the 40-hour commitment.
  • Salt and Sanctuary (75% off) $4.49 – This is basically a  2D Dark Souls with some janky edges and a metal album aesthetic. At this price, it’s cheaper than your morning coffee and twice as bitter.
  • Blasphemous 2 (50% off) $14.99 – It’s grotesque, gorgeous, and violent as hell. A straight-up improvement over the first game, and if you’re into religious horror vibes—yeah, you’re gonna love this.

  • Cyberpunk 2077 (60% off)  $23.99 – Yeah, it had a rough launch. We all know. But it’s since been fixed, fleshed out, and is now a proper RPG beast. Great writing, slick combat, and with Phantom Liberty out? You’re getting a massive game for the price of a pizza and wings.
  • Dead Cells (50% off) $12.49 – It’s more roguelike than Soulslike, but the combat is buttery smooth, and it’ll keep you coming back. Plus, you can probably finish five runs before you even beat one Souls boss.
  • Witchfire (10% off) $35.99 – FPS meets Soulslike with roguelite bits tossed in. Early access, sure—but the vibes are solid and the combat hits hard. It’s like Doom but moodier. It may look like a simple FPS, but it’s far from it.
  • Ashen (75% off) $9.99 – Chill co-op Soulslike with muted visuals and some solid world design. This is an underrated title for sure, but worth giving a try. Especially since it doesn’t feel like it’s trying to copy/paste FromSoft.
  • Tunic (30% off) $20.99 – Don’t let the cute fox fool you. This game is cryptic, brutal, and more Soulslike than most actual Soulslikes. You’ll either love it or scream into a pillow.

Soulslikes in 2024 - Another Crab's Treasure

  • Another Crab’s Treasure (40% off) $17.99 – Yes, it’s a crab Soulslike. Yes, it’s hilarious. And yes, it’s surprisingly deep, and a great entry game if you’re starting out in the world of Soulslikes. This of the biggest surprises I’ve played in 2024.

This year’s Steam Summer Sale (2025) has something for every kind of Soulslike sicko and Action RPG wannabe hero. If you’re looking to suffer in style without wrecking your wallet, now’s the time to strike.

Just remember, every one of these games will beat you down. But you’ll love every minute of it… Well, most of them anyway.

Before you go, we have other recommendations on what you can spend your hard-earned cash on. Well, outside of donating it to us, that is.
