Mecha Break More News and New Striker Breakdowns

By Kevin KellyJune 28, 2025

Earlier this week, Seasun Games revealed new facts about hero shooter Mecha Break with CEO Kris Kwok at the helm. Kwok sat down and went through each of these points as thoroughly as he possibly could since his original preview.

New Stages

On top of the original few maps shown in earlier previews, Kwok revealed some new additions, including both space and underwater stages. Each environment comes with its own unique challenges, with movement heavily influenced by terrain and atmosphere. Every map is tied to a specific game mode, and as of now, there are around 10 confirmed stages, with more on the way.

New Mechs

New Strikers are joining Mecha Break at launch, bringing fresh playstyles to the battlefield. The Light Brawler-type Stellaris plays like the game’s resident ninja, equipped with stealth camouflage, dual blades, and a tactical grappler that can yank enemies straight into danger—think Scorpion, but in full mecha form. To top it off, his Sword Drone can disrupt enemy systems and even bypass shields and force fields, making him a serious threat in close-quarters combat.

Meanwhile, the Light Support Striker Serenith is all about long-range dominance with surgical satellite precision via Orbital Targeting. Serenith’s hacking skills can disrupt enemy lock-ons and even scramble their ability to distinguish friend from foe. And when it comes to Corsite Haze, no worries—thanks to built-in recon abilities, Serenith can still spot targets and rain fire from above without missing a beat.

All 12 Strikers will be readily available when the game is released, so there’s no worrying about having to wait or having a disadvantage due to one reason or another.

And More

Kwok stated in an interview with IGN that the Live Service game will be going hard on everything, such as anime shorts, music videos, and of course, collectibles. The anime shorts are to help with conveying the original pilots’ backstories in Mecha Break. These will be for the premade characters of the game. From the look of things, space is the limit for Mecha Break, which launches on July 1st on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Xbox and Steam.
