FromSoftware to Increase Employee Salaries by Nearly 12%

FromSoftware, the renowned developer behind hits like Elden Ring, has announced that it will raise the average employee salary by nearly 12%. This adjustment comes as the company aims to create a more rewarding environment for its employees, starting in April 2025.

According to the official statement (thanks VGC) from FromSoftware, employees will see an average salary increase of 11.8%, with entry-level graduates benefiting even more. The starting salary for new hires will rise from ¥260,000 ($1,775) to ¥300,000 ($2,050), marking a 15% increase. The company emphasized that the salary raise aligns with its mission to create games that “convey emotion, create value, and inspire joy.”

The studio also reaffirmed its commitment to providing a stable income and a satisfying work environment. “We are working towards stable income and a rewarding work environment where our employees can apply themselves to development,” a company representative stated.

This news follows FromSoftware’s recent recruitment push, hinting at several upcoming projects. While specific details remain scarce, speculation surrounds a potential sequel to Elden Ring, though no confirmation has been made.

FromSoftware launched Shadow of the Erdtree, a new DLC expansion for Elden Ring, which helped reinforce the studio’s success. With millions of copies sold across its games, the company continues to captivate fans worldwide.
