Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Supports Cross-play at Launch

By Keith MitchellMarch 13, 2022
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

If you’re one of the many wondering if 2K’s upcoming Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will support cross-play, well, wonder no more. Of all the odd days to make this reveal, the Randy Pitchford of Gearbox Software posted that the game will support cross-play between the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Epic Games Store) versions.

Now, everyone can stop asking me as if I knew this was a thing a few months ago. And no, I didn’t know, this is all news to me.

Please take it easy on us if there are hiccups. This is hard stuff and none of the platforms were designed for this. We’ve done impossible work to make it happen and to try to make it as easy to use as possible, but this is new territory and the wild is not a test environment. https://t.co/CcIjQryZ7p

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a bunch of times, and that’s more developers need to embrace cross-play. Not everyone has the same platforms, yet friends ad family love playing games with each other. Well, most do anyway. Adding cross-play is the way to go, and I’m happy to see that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will support cross-play. Good move, Gearbox Software.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is an upcoming Action RPG first-person shooter and is the follow-up to Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep for those who haven’t been paying attention. It was (and still is) a fun and fantastic game that took the gameplay of Borderlands 2, based around Dungeons and Dragons, with Tiny Tina acting as the Dungeon Master. It was easily the best DLC for Borderlands 2. With Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, we’re expecting to have the same amazing experience, but taken even further.

Speaking of experience, check out this video which showcases 20 minutes of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands gameplay.

In addition to the cross-play news, 2K and Gearbox Software previously revealed that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will receive a season pass, and have already revealed the post-launch content plans. There’s a lot going on for this game, and that’s just the start. We’ll find out more about the game once it gets released.

Tiny Tina’s Adventure releases on March 25, 2022, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Epic Games Store).
