Nintendo Switch Likely To Face Supply Issues Throughout 2022

There are many crises facing the world right now, and each one is leaving a ripple effect of sorts in regards to how they’re affecting other parts of life. For example, plenty of fields and industry are suffering from supply shortages, and one of them is the entertainment industry. Specifically, the hardware side of the industry. As many are struggling to get the parts to make computers, various electric devices, and of course, video game consoles like the PS5, Xbox Series X, and the Nintendo Switch.

Add that to the delivery system issues that are also out there, and you can see why this is such a major problem. One that doesn’t seem to be ending soon as Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa admitted in a chat.

According to him, the Nintendo Switch shortages might go well into 2022 (and not just the end of the fiscal year as initially hoped). He noted, “it will depend on demand, but as I feared, we won’t be able to make the amount of units we wanted to.”

This is a phrase that is coming from the lips of many hardware makers, and until it is rectified, those who are wanting a console like the Switch are going to have to hope they get lucky.
