Jodie Whittaker’s Final Doctor Who Appearance Re-Confirmed By BBC

By Todd BlackNovember 18, 2021
Doctor Who

The current Doctor Who featuring Jodie Whittaker has been a rather curious one in the eyes of most fans. Many were thrilled that a female Doctor was finally born (taking over for Peter Capaldi when his run ended), and Jodie has absolutely done well in doing the role. However, writing for her run hasn’t been the best, especially in regards to major retcons and “revelations” about the history of the show, and the current season “Flux” has a lot of viewers confused as to what is happening.

Which makes it all the more important that Jodie’s run ends strongly, and thus why a set of TV movies are going to end her Doctor’s story next year. BBC reaffirmed that Jodie Whittaker’s time as Doctor Who will end next fall in line with the networks celebrations that will be going on at the time:

Having been in charge of the TARDIS since filming began in 2017, Showrunner Chris Chibnall and Jodie Whittaker are set to leave the most famous police box on Earth – and the Universe. (2/4)

This epic blockbuster special will see the Doctor fight evil across the galaxy one last time but just who will she come up against in her final battle before the Doctor regenerates once more… 🔥 (4/4)

Lots of intrigue there, wouldn’t you say? Let’s hope Jodie gets the sendoff she deserves before the next Doctor, whoever they may be, steps in.
