Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy Guide: Unlocking Hard Mode

You’ve bested the Federation in Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code, and you want something worth your piloting skills? Well, perhaps it’s time to try the hard mode. What’s that? It’s not available? Not to worry, we’ll explain how to unlock it and its effect on the game.

Unlocking Hard Mode in Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy

Well, it’s pretty straight forward actually. Once you’ve beaten the entire game, the credits will roll, and you’ll be teased about Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy volume 2. Once that’s all done, you’ll be presented with several items and the hard mode difficulty. With this unlocked, you can go back through the previous chapters and replay them to earn even more rewards.

What does the hard mode difficulty do?

Just as it sounds, the hard mode makes things more interesting for you. But how, you’re likely asking? The enemies take less damage from your weapons. They become more aggressive in both attacking and defensive; they actually will attempt to juke, causing you to whiff your attacks. In missions where you have to hold off enemy mobile suits, the numbers will increase. Lastly, boss encounters will ramp up the number of enemies mobile suits that will accompany the enemy.

Once you enable hard mode, the difference is noticeable from the start and it keeps on reminding you that it is enabled.

So unless you’re either the Red Comet and you like impossible odds, perhaps leave off the hard mode until volume 2 of Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy. That way, you’ll have access to better weapons and better mobile suits.
