Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights, And Suicide Squad Won’t Be At E3 2021

We’re a few days away from E3 2021, and so far, it looks like Warner Bros. will be a no-show for several of its most anticipated titles. According to Techradar, a WB spokesperson reached out to them and confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will all be absent during E3 2021.

The only WB Games title that will make an appearance is the Left For Dead spiritual successor, Back 4 Blood. A title that already looked incredibly polished based on our hands-on but was delayed until later in 2022. It needs to say, this is a bit of a disappointment, especially since Warner Bros. Games has been MIA during multiple gaming events in 2019, only to have them announce not one but Gotham-themed games.

As for why these games won’t make an appearance during E3 2021 is anyone’s guess. We could attribute this to the mounting problems with Warner Bros, ATT, and Discovery. Back in May 2021, AT&T announced its plans to merge WarnerMedia with Discovery. A deal that many have speculated will ultimately result in several gaming studios under the WarnerMedia umbrella go up for grabs to the highest bidder. Of course, that’s all speculation, and nothing has officially been announed.

Either way, it’s quite the bummer to see that neither Gotham Knights nor Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be at E3 2021.

Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are all slated to be released sometime in 2021. With these titles not making appearances at E3, could this mean something is going on with the development cycle? Or could it simply mean that because they’re not making an E3 appearance that they could make an appearance elsewhere – like the Summer Game Fest?
