PlayStation Plus March 2021 Offering Is The best To Date

By Keith MitchellFebruary 26, 2021
Playstation Plus

PlayStation, coming off a lackluster State of Play event, is firing on all cylinders with its recent announcement of its PlayStation Plus offering for March 2021.

PSN Plus March 2021 1280x720

Starting on March 1st, 2021, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Remnant: From the Ashes, and Farpoint will be available for download. Maquette is also joining the bunch but releases one day later, on March 2nd, 2021. I don’t have to tell you about FFVII Remake, and hopefully, everyone knows about Remnant from the Ashes, a “Souls-like” title that features ranged and melee combat. It’s one of my favorite titles of 2020.

Then there’s Maquette, a brand new title for the PS4/PS5 that features stylish puzzles, beautiful graphics and will force you to use your minds rather than your wits. Lastly, Farpoint, an exciting and action-packed PlayStation VR title that puts you in the role of a stranded adventurer on an alien planet. However, you’ll need access to a PSVR to play it.

Now, for some bad news. The Final Fantasy VII Remake isn’t eligible for the upgrade to the PS5 version. I know it stinks, but it also does make sense. With PSN, these games are tied to your subscription, and if you cancel it or let it lapse, you lose access to those games. If you were able to upgrade to the PS5 version and the subscription went away, you might actually lose access to that as well. Playing devil’s advocate for a moment, PlayStation could and likely does, see this as the consumer getting over on them. I wouldn’t say I like the decision, but I understand it.

So there you go, your March 2021 PSN offering and that’s a lot here for everyone to enjoy. What do you think of this line-up? Let us know in the comments!
