Not only did EA and Bioware finally shock the gaming world with the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, but they also announced a collector’s edition.
The Mass Effect Legendary Cache is currently available only on the Bioware Gear Store, priced at 149.99. This would be the perfect gift for yourself or the Mass Effect fan in your life, which is why I got my preorder in as soon as I could. *Update* – It’s also now available on Best Buy’s website, but does not include the special FemShep print.
Included in this collector’s edition is the following:
- 1x Mass Effect N7 Helmet
- 1x Mass Effect Legendary Edition Metal Game Case (copy of game not included)
- 1x Morality Spinner Pin
- 1x N7 Acceptance Letter
- 2x Canvas Art Prints (Including one you can only find here at the BioWare Gear Store)
- Comes in a full-color custom box featuring the game’s key art
And yes, the helmet is wearable. With that being included, Heck would have imagined this would have cost more than the asking price. I’d pay $149.99 for that along, so everything else included is a bonus.
This will likely sell out fast, as millions of Mass Effect fans are out there. I’d drop the cash and pick it up if you’re remotely interested. Or, you may end up spending more by trying to purchase one on eBay.
N7 HELMET
It’s wearable, beautifully-detailed, faithful to the games… and yes, it lights up, too.
The star of this bundle is undoubtedly the life-sized replica of Shepard’s N7 Breather Helmet. Created with the actual 3D model used in-game and under the direct supervision of Mass Effect’s developers, it’s as authentic and believable as it gets.
It features the helmet’s carbon fiber texture and LED lights that illuminate the visor and the accents on the sides and back. And just like in the game, the choice is yours—are you Paragon Blue or Renegade Red?
