Disney+ Comes to Xbox Game Pass, but there’s a catch

This only applies to NEW Disney+ subscriptions.

This past weekend, Xbox and Disney posted a cryptic tweet with an image of everyone’s favorite alien, the Child “aka Baby Yoda” and his caretaker, Din “Mando” Djarin. Many assumed this was some promotion the pair was about to announce. And they were correct. Today, Xbox Game Pass announced that they’d be offering 30 days of Disney+ with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions.

However, there’s a catch. This deal only applies to new Disney+ memberships, meaning if you already subscribe to the service, you won’t be able to take advantage of this offer. Yes, it stinks.

“Starting today, Ultimate members will be able to stream all of the great entertainment available with Disney+, including content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic,” “Once the Perk is claimed, members will be directed to the Disney+ site activate their subscription. Disney+ is also available on Xbox One and will be available on Xbox Series X and S, so you can download the app via the Microsoft Store. If you’re interested, don’t wait too long! Members can claim and activate the trial until January 31,” stated Microsoft’s Adam Harris.

So while it is a bit of a bummer that this will only apply to new Disney+ customers, it is a nice way of trying to rope in new members by applying this perk to Xbox Game Pass.
